At Read Side by Side, we believe that teaching reading is a collaborative process, thus the name–Read Side by Side!! Our blogs are meant to give you the feeling that you are not doing it alone, AND keep you up-to-date on the newest reading research and tips for classroom implementation.
So, spend time exploring and don’t forget to share your favorite blog posts on your social media accounts!
How do I find the blog post I’m looking for?
The easiest way to navigate the blog page is through the sidebar menu on the left side of the screen (if you’re on a mobile device, you’ll find this menu at the bottom of the page). There you’ll find a “Categories” drop down menu, a search bar, and an archives list to find posts by month and year. You’ll also see a nifty “Go Back to Blog Home” button. If you ever need to get back to the blog home page, just click that button and you’ll get back to a page displaying the most recent blog posts.
Who are the authors of our blog posts?
If you are looking for inspiration from the authors of the Read Side by Side Reading Curriculum, you will find blogs written by Sarah Collinge and Bethany Robinson.
Sarah shares tips for classroom implementation of the curriculum, product updates, and company news.
Bethany shares ideas for school wide implementation, ELL support, and intervention.
Dr. Peter Dewitz, director of research for Read Side by Side, shares the most current research from the field of literacy. Peter’s blogs will get you thinking about reading in new ways!
Classroom teachers (like you!) share tips for implementing the C. I. A. approach in classrooms grades 3-5. Simply search by grade level or teacher.
