How did I get here?
Welcome! We have moved our blog from our old Weebly page over to our Read Side by Side website. If you tried going to that Weebly page, you were redirected here, to the new home of our blog!
How do I find the blog post I’m looking for?
Don’t worry, the majority of the content from the blog’s old home is still here! We’ve edited and reorganized some things so that specific topics and units of study are easier to find. The easiest way to navigate the blog page is through the sidebar menu on the left side of the screen (if you’re on a mobile device, you’ll find this menu at the bottom of the page). There you’ll find a “Categories” drop down menu, a search bar, and an archives list to find posts by month and year. You’ll also see a nifty “Go Back to Blog Home” button. If you ever need to get back to the blog home page, just click that button and you’ll get back to a page displaying the most recent blog posts.
Using the Category Drop Down Menu
The easiest way to find what you’re looking for will be through the categories menu. Here, you can search for blog posts by grade level, by specific unit of study, by topic, or by the teacher who wrote it. If you’re wanting some additional inspiration for teaching the Castle in the Attic read-aloud unit, you can select it from the drop down menu, and it will take you to a page containing all of the blog posts written about the Castle in the Attic read-aloud unit.
If you want to find something more general, like all posts about writing, for example, just find “Writing” in the category drop down menu and you’ll find all of the posts about writing in the CIA classroom.
The search bar is also a helpful tool, but it does search the whole site, rather than just the blogs. This means that search results will return blog posts if there are any related to your search terms, but it may also return other pages on the website, such as items from the online shop.
New content is on the way!
In addition to moving the old blog posts over to the website, we will continue bringing new content to the blog, including posts from Sarah and Bethany and new teacher blogs.
